Managed furniture coordination effort as well as provided team support during DD, and CD’s for the >500,000SF Museum of the Bible (Washington, DC). The scope of work included space planning, design development, finish selection, coordination with engineers, construction documents and construction administration. Additionally, coordination with the client to define furniture needs, and outline furniture specifications. Design factors included building protection (bollards, blast protection), artifact care (temperature/ humidity control), building reuse (former warehouse, and structural changes), DC historic building, downtown DC regulatory approval for all exterior changes, and LEED silver certification.
